Summary of Duties

As part of the BPMH Program, the technician will be expected to complete and document Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMHs) on patients in Emergency and Acute Care units within the Hospital. This will require the technician to complete the eBPMH module posted on the Sunnybrook LMS and become ‘certified’ to complete an accurate medication history. Motivation, flexibility, organizational skills and the ability and willingness to engage with patients will be important.

The successful applicant will be expected to work Monday to Friday with weekend day(s) on a rotational basis.

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Current licensure by the Ontario college of Pharmacists

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

  • Self-motivated to succeed and able to take initiative

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Proficient in computer and data entry skills
