Salary Range: $29.838 - $38.290/hr

Summary of Duties:

Provide administrative support for the Drug Safety Clinic, a fast-paced multi-disciplinary clinic

dedicated to evaluating and testing patients for drug allergies and managing adverse drug reactions.

 

Duties include:

  • Schedule patient appointments, maintain patient/clinic records

  • Greet, screen, registers patients in-person and over the phone, and coordinate patient flow

  • during clinic.

  • Performs administrative tasks answer phone, fields’ patient inquiries in a timely manner, prompt

  • respond to emails, word processing, faxing, filing, and ordering supplies.

  • Submits OHIP billings for physicians

  • Assist clinic physicians, pharmacist, nurses as needed

  • Other duties as required for clinic operations

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Successful completion of Medical Secretary program/diploma at community college level plus a

    minimum of 2 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and

    experience

  • Recent experience providing administrative support in a health care/hospital setting

  • Working knowledge of PHS/PAS, QuadraMed, Outlook and Microsoft Office an asset

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (Accuro) an asset

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Excellent problem-solving and exceptional time management skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical/medical terminology

  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills

  • Demonstrated satisfactory attendance and punctuality required
