One of Canada's Top 10 Research Hospitals, Sunnybrook Research Institute is developing innovations in care for the more than 1.3 million patients the hospital cares for annually.  The Odette Cancer Program is one of 11 clinical programs at Sunnybrook. 

 

The Research Coordinator will work under the supervision of Dr. Monika Krzyzanowska, Odette Cancer Centre to support the development, delivery and evaluation of the CAREFORCE Collaborative.  CAREFORCE is a CIHR-funded cancer care workforce optimization collaborative delivered in partnership with the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto to train teams from across Canada to solve workforce challenges in cancer care.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with CAREFORCE Collaborative faculty to develop education and training content
  • Perform literature reviews on topics relevant to workforce optimization
  • Assist with coaching of participating teams on optimization methodology
  • Support participating teams in workflow mapping, data analysis and interpretation
  • Support overall program evaluation
  • Schedule and attend research meetings including preparing agendas and minutes

 

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in quality improvement/ process optimization research experience
  • Successful completion of Masters’ of Engineering, certificate in Healthcare Engineering or similar considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, time management and project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing slide decks and education modules for mixed audiences of adult learners
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process optimization approaches and methodologies
