The Cognitive Brain Health Lab at Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) is seeking an energetic and experienced individual for a full-time Clinical Research Assistant position under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Rabin. The successful candidate will join a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of researchers in a dynamic and collegial environment.
The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline, combined with prior research experience. A Masters’ is an asset. This position is well-suited for individuals interested in gaining research experience prior to graduate school or medical school, as there will be opportunities to contribute to conference abstracts and manuscripts.
The candidate will work on studies examining risk factors for dementia.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with participant screening and eligibility assessments
- Scheduling and coordinating study visits
- Creating, maintaining, and managing study databases
- Supporting Research Ethics Board applications and related administrative tasks
- Assisting with neuropsychological test administration and scoring
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Completion of a B.Sc. in Neuroscience, Psychology or related discipline combined with at least one year of relevant research experience. Masters an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience creating and managing databases
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
