Summary of Duties:
•    Scheduling patients for Glucose Tolerance Test. 
•    Greets, receives, instructs and directs patients, relatives, visitors, and hospital staff. 
•    Performing telephone and reception duties. 
•    Obtains primary patient demographics, OHN or third party billing information from patients as required. 
•    Data entry in relevant information systems as required. 
•    Assist with training and CQI initiatives. 
•    Entry workload. 
•    Other clerical duties as required. 


Qualifications/Skills:
•    OSSGD or equivalent as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education. 
•    Post-secondary job-related course and recent related experience preferred. 
•    Outstanding customer service skills essential. 
•    Demonstrated Patient-Focused Care behaviour. 
•    Strong working knowledge of software packages such as Excel/Word/Windows. 
•    Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to deal with conflict and communicate appropriately with patients, residents, families, and staff. 
•    Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills. 
•    Ability to organize work effectively, demonstrate initiative, and work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment. 
•    Demonstrated understanding and ability to work in an inter-professional team environment. 
•    Typing 40 w.p.m. with maximum 5% error rate required. 
•    Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology an asset. 
•    Familiar with Accreditation Canada - Diagnostics (ACD) requirements.
