Summary of Duties

  • Maintenance of the Daily census

  • Funeral Home releases

  • Notify Primary Care Providers as patients are admitted

  • Liaise with units/external clients regarding deceased patients

  • Bradma room related functions

  • Update registration system (Quadramed) and print bradma cards for patients

  • Assist with patient registration functions as needed

  • Provide support during registration downtime as required

  • Create and execute test scripts required to ensure successful promotion of updates to the registration system (Quadramed)

  • Other tasks as assigned to meet requirements of department


Qualifications/Skills

  • One year of community college

  • Experience with Quadramed Registration system, registration workflows and other corporate applications is a definite asset

  • Attention to detail is a must in order to avoid errors that can have a direct impact to patients

  • Able to meet departmental daily productivity standards in a busy work environment.

  • Outstanding customer service skills are essential, demonstrated Patient-Focused Care/Customer Service behaviour

  • Clear understanding of legislations and guidelines related to the Security and Privacy of Personal Health Information

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

  • Must be able to prioritize workload and be able to work alone as well as in a team environment

  • Demonstrated sound judgement and diplomacy

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Keyboarding at 40 w.p.m.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
