The Kidney Clinic and Renal Transplant PAA is an integral member of the renal program team.
Summary of Duties:
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate closely with our pretransplant Nurse Clinicians, Data Manager, Renal Medical Director, Home Dialysis Medical Director and Home Dialysis/Kidney Care Clinic Patient Care Manager.
- Work autonomously to complete tasks that require their input and or management.
- Work collaboratively with other transplant centres to help process and navigate our patients requiring transplant work up and support.
- Coordinate testing schedule, in collaboration with the patient and provides the patient with complete listing of tests.
- Prepare and send patient samples to different health care labs and destinations
- Organize and submit data in collaboration with the Data Manager to the Ontario Renal Network / Ontario Health
- Coordinating/manage outpatient clinics within the Nephrology Program and maintenance of patient records and statistics.
Qualifications/Skills
- At least two years of Administrative experience within Nephrology required.
- Experience coordinating/managing outpatient nephrology clinics required.
- One year of Community College-Medical Terminology course preferred.
- Proficiency with software including Excel, Word, Accuro EMR and and ORN data submission requirements required
- Keyboarding at 40 net w.p.m minute or keyboarding at 106 net keystrokes per minute
- Ability to collect and enter patient data accurately
- Ability to organize work efficiently and effectively
- Ability to be flexible within a fast pace unpredictable environment
- Abiliity to prioritize multiple urgent demands and requests
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Demonstrated Patient-Focused Care Behavior
- Ability to provide consistent excellent Customer Service at all times.
