Dr. Julie Hallet at Sunnybrook Research Institute is seeking a Research Assistant to join their established research program of clinical epidemiologists, clinicians and qualitative researchers examining resource utilization, costs, and both clinical and patient-reported outcomes of cancer patients with Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare REB applications and renewals
- Assist in the writing of proposals and reports to funding agencies
- Coordinate meetings, prepare materials and agendas, and produce and distribute minutes
- Aid in the preparation of grant and database applications
- Organize and update financial documents such as invoices and budgets
- Monitor project timelines
- Conduct data entry and abstraction as required
- Assist with ongoing research projects and additional tasks as appropriate
Skills and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in health sciences, social sciences, or related field. Applicants with adequate work experience will also be considered
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective time management skills, ability to prioritize and balance workloads versus timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to work closely with a team and provide assistance
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while achieving specific goals within set timeframes
- Willing and able to rapidly learn new things.
