Summary of Duties

Responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of art therapy programs for Veteran residents and palliative care patients in the Veterans Program. Participation in educational activities and other duties as required.

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Art Therapy required

  • Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of

  • Ontario required

  • Professional Membership with either the Canadian Art Therapy Association or the Ontario Art Therapy Association required

  • Degree in Psychology, Fine Arts or Social Sciences preferred

  • Registered Art Therapist status preferred

  • CPR Certification at the Basic/Rescuer Level essential

  • Previous experience working with the elderly and dementia preferred

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills

  • Previous experience working in Inter-professional care preferred

  • Knowledgeable and supportive of Person-Centred Care
