A full-time, grant-funded Research Assistant position is available immediately in the Physical Sciences Platform at Sunnybrook Research Institute, to study focused ultrasound applications in the central nervous system.
This research group has a multi-disciplinary team of individuals with backgrounds in physics, engineering, biology, and medicine. The clinical relevance of this work is high, and the pace of research is fast. This is an excellent environment for a motivated individual interested in the field of medical technology and biomedical engineering to gain valuable skills and experience
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with experimental data collection and data analysis work.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preclinical studies
- Conducting benchtop focused ultrasound experiments
- Digitizing histology slides
- Assisting other lab members as required with their experiments and data analysis
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Prior experience working in a focused ultrasound research lab
