Salary Range: $37.7850 – 47.2460 /hr

Summary of Duties

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including fetal echocardiography, neonatal echocardiography, pediatric and obstetrical ultrasound
  • Perform fetal and neonatal ultrasound imaging procedures in WBUS department, including call shifts evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Performs and troubleshoots required care and maintenance of ultrasound and medical imaging equipment as required to ensure they are performing in an effective manner.
  • Responsible for care of patients within the department. Collects, records, and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required.
  • Prepare and maintains adequate written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results according to departmental policy and procedures.
  • Collaborates and participates in teaching, research, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs.

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or recognized equivalent
  • Registration as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with CMRITO mandatory
  • Certification in OBGYN preferred
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Ability to work on call rotation
  • Recent related ultrasound technologist experience required and cardiac and/or fetal ECHO experience preferred
  • Fetal and/or Pediatric ECHO certification with transition to dual certification within 2 years of employment
  • Excellent organizational skills; able to organize and prioritize work.
  • Proven time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Demonstrate initiative and comfort with decision making, problem recognition and problem solving skills.
