Summary of Duties:

Reporting to the Director of Interprofessional Practice, Professional Practice, the Interprofessional Clinical Informatics Leader is responsible for advancing the voice of Sunnybrook’s interprofessional teams as Sunnybrook embarks on Project REACH(Renew Expand Advance Clinical Health Informatics). As an Interprofessional Practice (IPP) team member, the Interprofessional Clinical Informatics Leader will work collaboratively with the IPP team and information services to advance clinical informatics. The successful candidate will be passionate about the importance of innovative professional practice, interprofessional teamwork, best practices, quality improvement, and the changing role of technology in the provision of care.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate stewardship of digital strategy and vision
  • Lead and manage healthy relationships and partnerships with champions, leaders and stakeholders
  • Support the development of current and future state workflows for various professional groups
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration across disciplines and campuses
  • Support and participate in the development and evaluation of proposals related to clinical informatics
  • Work collaboratively with teams to enable best practices, identification of spread and scale, share learnings, and identify opportunities for consistency in digital/virtual care utilization
  • Work in close partnership with the Design and Implementation team to advance system goals
  • Collaboratively develop strategies and tactics to increase adoption rate, spread and scale for identified digital health initiatives/solutions
  • Assist project leaders and staff with managing/balancing competing organizational priorities;
  • Support the development of materials to enhance work performance, such as communications, reference material and reporting tools
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the implementation of digital solutions
  • Lead clinically related policy development and implementation
  • Led workflow-related discussions and facilitated consensus building
  • Provide Nursing and health professions leadership for initiatives/solutions
  • Inform educational strategies for the interprofessional team

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Registration in good standing with an Ontario Regulated Health Professional College
  • Successful completion of a Master’s degree or in progress
  • Demonstrated understanding of workflow analysis and gap analysis
  • Previous Infromatic project experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated interprofessional team leadership and conflict resolution
  • Self-directed and strong collaborative skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Superior critical thinking skills and ability to generate ideas and fresh perspectives
  • Proficient organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively problem solve
  • Demonstrated Superior leadership, communication, team building and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated Superior verbal, written & presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment
