The successful candidate will be part of the dietitian team in the Tory Trauma Program providing nutrition care across two patient care units (D4ICU and CrCU) for critically ill patients.

 

The successful candidate will manage patients in accordance with the Clinical Nutrition Standards of Practice as well as the patient centred care model that Sunnybrook follows. In addition to patient care, the successful candidate will participate in the education and training of dietetic interns and nutrition students, professional activities, unit-based and organizational committees, quality initiatives, and practice-based research.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO) required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an ICU setting preferred
  • Experience in management of enteral and parenteral nutrition support required
  • Superior communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a multiple interprofessional teams
  • Experience in providing patient/family education required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize work required
  • Demonstrated ability to advocate for patient needs required
  • Demonstrate application of evidence-based practice required
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development required
