Summary of Duties
The PAA is responsible for coordination of patient flow (admission/transfer/discharge) and patient activities; administrative services for patient care unit; maintenance of patient records; staffing, scheduling and payroll.
Qualifications/Skills
- One year of Community College - Medical Terminology course preferred
- Outstanding customer Service skills essential
- One year of Administrative/Business experience required, in a health care setting preferred
- Demonstrated Patient-Focused Care/Customer Service behaviour
- Knowledge of software packages such as Word/Windows
- Demonstrated proficiency using SRM e-requisitioning program
- Demonstrated proficiency using ESP payroll program
- Demonstrated proficiency using Sunnycare/Order Entry Functions
- Typing at 40 net words per minute or keyboarding at 106 net keystrokes per minute
- Ability to organize work effectively and work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
