Summary of Duties

  • Prepare and co-ordinate all clerical activities for clinics, such as booking client appointments, chart preparation for 7 services
  • Preparing correspondence to support clinics; ongoing communication with supervisors
  • Duties include: Patient Registration and updating of patient information and scheduling appointment
  • Handle large volume of incoming calls, emails; book large volume of referrals
  • Other administrative duties as required

Qualifications/Skills

  • Two year Business/Office Administration diploma
  • One year of Administrative/Business experience in a hospital/health care environment preferred
  • Candidates who have successfully completed the hospitals PAA training will be given priority consideration
  • Successful completion of Medical Terminology course
  • Competent in Microsoft Office software, Sunnycare, Pathway Healthcare Scheduling(PHS), Quadramed and Enterprise Express Editor, Navigator, OR Manager and WSIB Emergis
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals
  • Proven ability to manage high stress situations while completing multiple tasks and setting priorities in a fast-paced, high volume team environment
  • Proven ability to organize work-flow and function under fluctuating case/workload demands for 7 services; time management, accuracy and attention to detail skills required
  • Keyboarding at 40w.p.m. with maximum 5% error rate
  • Proficiency with electronic payroll system is required
  • Excellent problem solving skills, ability to deal with conflict and communicate appropriately with patients, families and staff
  • Satisfactory attendance standards
