Summary of Duties:

  • Assist with Planning and Facilitating Therapeutic Activities: Help design and lead group or individual activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being for patients or residents.
  • Document Patient Progress: Observe and record patient participation and responses to therapeutic activities, ensuring accurate documentation to track progress and inform future care plans.
  • Support Individualized Care Plans: Collaborate with interprofessional team to implement personalized interventions that address patients' specific needs, preferences, and goals, fostering a person-centered approach to care.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Recreation
  • Secondary school graduate
  • Experience with geriatric population preferred
  • Ability to work independently essential
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members essential
