Summary of Duties

The candidate will report to the Director of Medical Imaging and will work along with the Chief of Medical Imaging. The candidate will support research business management within Medical Imaging. The candidate will work independently and collaboratively within a large multi-disciplinary team.

  • Manage, schedule, and bill third party imaging requests including WSIB referrals
  • Review requests of research studies / clinical trials that involve the use of Medical Imaging resources
  • Advise the Director and Chief of Medical Imaging regarding Impact Assessment of research requests
  • Assist Medical Imaging Staff (Radiologists, Nurses & Technologist) in preparing research grant proposals, ethics approval, legal agreements, and Health Canada approvals and associated compliance
  • Manage the operations of research activities including protocol reviews, scheduling of imaging (incremental vs standard of care), opening and closing of trials and the associated billing & all associated financial transactions

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Post secondary science degree or equivalent required
  • Appropriate and relevant work experience in an academic health sciences centre required.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior time management, organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
