Summary of Duties

Working with an interprofessional team, the Child & Youth Worker is responsible for implementing a range of prevention, intervention and treatment strategies for Adolescents who have been diagnosed with a major mental illness.

Qualifications/Skills

• • Child and Youth Worker diploma/degree required
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification required
  • Current BCLS required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization including external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Adolescent Mental Heath
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles of DBT and CBT
