The Research Assistant will support a mentorship-focused research initiative exploring and documenting approaches to research capacity building and professional development among health professionals. The primary goal of this role is to lead the writing and preparation of manuscripts for publication, knowledge translation outputs, and related research dissemination activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and format manuscripts, reports, and abstracts for publication and presentation.
  • Conduct targeted literature searches and synthesize relevant research findings.
  • Assist in the preparation of visual or narrative summaries for knowledge translation activities.
  • Maintain organized files and project records in compliance with institutional standards required for manuscript publication.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in a health-related or social sciences field required; MSc or graduate-level coursework considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience writing or contributing to academic manuscripts, literature reviews, or reports.
  • Strong understanding of research methods, academic writing conventions, and referencing tools.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and time management skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with reference management software (e.g., EndNote, Covidence, Mendeley).
  • Interest in research mentorship, knowledge translation, and professional education.

Work Conditions

  • Approximately 6-8 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
  • Hybrid work environment (primarily remote, with in-person meetings as required).
  • Start date: immediate
