$45.910 - $58.914/hr
Summary of Duties:
- Responsible for providing person-centred patient assessments and interventions in collaboration with the interprofessional team, including recommendations for follow-up as required [i.e. Home Care Program, community or rehabilitation resources]. Actively participates in inter-professional team activities such as team meetings, clinical rounds, team huddles and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participates in continuing professional development activities including the provision of clinical and educational in-services that fosters ongoing learning, professionalism, interprofessional collaborations, and best practices in physiotherapy.
- Participates in the supervision and education of physiotherapy students on an ongoing basis.
- Is an expert resource for; staff, students, and other health care providers related to physiotherapy in the Tory Trauma Program.
- Participates in discipline-specific and interprofessional quality improvement activities within Physiotherapy Services and the Tory Trauma Program.
- Practices in accordance with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario standards of practice.

Qualifications/Skills
- MSc[PT] or equivalent
- Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario

Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association of Ontario preferred

Experience in neurosurgery and orthopaedics

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Strong problem solving, time-management and organizational skills
- Excellent professional judgment, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, team members, students and community partners
- Evidence of good attendance, a satisfactory performance history and a discipline-free record required
