Salary Range: $45.910/hour - $58.914/hour

Summary of Duties:

Provides advanced nutritional management of outpatient oncology patients at the Odette Cancer Centre (T-wing and M6) in accordance with the Clinical Nutrition Standards of Practice and the principles of person and family-centred care. The successful candidate will participate in the advancement of patient care through professional, program-based and organizational committees, quality initiatives, practice-based research, and interprofessional rounds. The candidate will also participate in the education of dietetic interns and other students as applicable.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Current registration with College of Dietitians of Ontario required
  • Recent direct experience with oncology patients required (2 years preferred)
  • Recent direct experience with esophageal and lung cancer patients an asset
  • Proficiency in assessing, implementing and managing nutrition care plans, including enteral nutrition and therapeutic diets required
  • Superior communication, collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of the interprofessional team
  • Experience providing patient/family education and counselling
  • Demonstrated knowledge in person-centered care approach and principle
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovative thinking, organizational skills, and ability to effectively prioritize work
  • Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
