Job Summary
The SAP Trainer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of the SAP S/4 HANA systems. Reporting to the Organizational Change Manager, the trainers will develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy tailored to the needs of the organization. This will include designing, delivering, and supporting comprehensive training programs to enable end-users across the organization to effectively use SAP S/4 HANA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP modules, a strong understanding of adult learning principles, and a passion for empowering employees with the knowledge they need.
Key Responsibilities
Training Development and Execution
• Design, develop, and implement role-specific training programs and materials for various areas of SAP S/4 HANA including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Project System, Cost center accounting, Internal order accounting, Bank and Cash Management (Treasury), Funds and Grants Management, custom processes, and internal reporting tools.
• Prepare and customize training content that is tailored to the specific needs of functional areas and roles (including documentation, presentations, e-learning modules, and user guides).
• Collaborate with project teams to understand business processes and system functionalities to align training content.
• Lead engaging, hands-on training sessions (in-person, virtual, and e-learning) to a diverse audience, including end-users, super-users, and key stakeholders; ensuring user engagement and effective knowledge transfer covering essential SAP functionalities, processes, and best practices.
• Develop and implement post go-live training initiatives e.g. refresher training for new hires or role transitions.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with the Organizational Change Manager to ensure training aligns with communication and change strategies.
• Collaborate with SAP project leads and department heads to identify and customize training needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate successful knowledge transfer and system adoption.
Training Materials and Documentation
• Develop training resources including and, comprehensive user guides, quick reference materials, FAQs, training video tutorials, and other supporting documents for ongoing user support.
• Maintain an accessible repository of training materials.
Training Effectiveness and Support
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using feedback and assessment tools.
• Provide desk-side coaching and ongoing support post-training.
• Provide regular progress reports, training metrics and insights to project leadership and management.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Education, or related field.
Certifications
• SAP Trainer Certification preferred (e.g., TPMA, ACMP, SAP); with demonstrated proficiency in SAP modules such as SAP FI/CO.
Experience
• 2+ years of SAP training & implementation experience, with expertise in S/4 HANA.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training sessions for large-scale SAP implementation projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Finance sub-modules (e.g., Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Treasury, Bank and Cash Management)
• Experience in applying adult learning principles and best practices in training delivery.
Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal & written communication skills with exceptional presentation and instructional design skills able to explain complex topics in a clear and concise manner.
• Interpersonal Skills: Empathetic and patient approach, with the ability to adapt training styles to meet diverse learning needs.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to quickly troubleshoot user issues and provide solutions during training and post-training support.
• Project Management: Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with experience managing multiple training sessions and resources simultaneously.
Work Environment
• The SAP Trainers will work closely with project teams, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless learning experience. This position may require travel between organizational locations for training delivery and support.
