Summary of Duties:
The SPEP Project Manager collaboration across clinical areas, closely linking education and mentoring with human resource processes for Intentionally Educated Nurses (IEN) engaged in the SPEP program. The SPEP Project Manager, supports, manages and promotes transitions, continuing education, and professional development with a primary focus on the systems that support IENs enrolled in their supervised practice experience partnership. This role includes collaboration with key stakeholder to facilitate processes, using diverse and innovative methods based on and ragogy best practices and EDI principles. Additionally the Project Manager, creates learning environments that address nursing education needs for those new to the Canadian health care setting.
Required Competencies:
- RN in good standing with CNO
- Graduate degree in nursing, or underway
- Champion the integration of person-centered care initiatives within the defined work
- Collaborate effectively with interprofessional health care team members
- Be open to meeting the ever changing needs of patient care and organizational objectives
- Demonstrate leadership at the local (inpatient & outpatient) and system-wide (hospital) levels
- Manage conflict effectively and see through to positive resolution
- Work to create and maintain a safe working environment
- Strong program planning and management skills, as well as time management, strong mentorship and coaching skills proficient with excel, word PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong communicator
- Collaborator across teams within Sunnybrook and externally
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, oral, and written skills
- Proven organizational & time management skills
- Ability to prioritize professional duties, manage multiple patients, and efficiently organize workload in collaboration with other Complex Wound Service team members
- Established understanding and ability to integrate concept of person-centered care
- Evidence of successful change management skills, including effective implementation & evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
- Proven ability to adapt and work as an effective team member in a high pressure environment
