Summer Student – GMP Lab Assistant
Are you a science student looking to get real hands-on experience in a GMP lab this summer? A GMP lab is a laboratory that operates under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations. These are quality and safety rules used in pharmaceutical, biotech, and other health-related manufacturing environments. This Summer Student – GMP Lab Assistant role is a great opportunity to see how a regulated lab works day to day and to support a team doing meaningful work.
Summary of Duties:
- Helping with simple lab tasks like labeling tubes, organizing samples, and preparing basic solutions.
- Keeping the lab tidy by cleaning benches, equipment surfaces, and common areas.
- Assisting with receiving, logging, and storing supplies following our procedures.
- Doing light administrative work such as data entry, filing, and updating records.
- Checking inventory, restocking supplies, and helping manage lab waste.
- Following safety rules, GMP guidelines, and our SOPs.
Qualifications:
• You are currently enrolled in a science-related program (e.g., Biology, Chemistry,
Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science) and returning to school in the fall.
• You are careful, organized, and comfortable doing routine tasks.
• You communicate clearly and enjoy working with others.
• You are interested in learning how a GMP lab operates.
• Any previous lab experience is a bonus but not required.
