The Cognitive Brain Health Lab at Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) is seeking an energetic and experienced individual for a full-time Clinical Research Assistant position under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Rabin. The successful candidate will join a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of researchers in a dynamic and collegial environment.
The ideal candidate will have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline, combined with prior research experience. This position is well-suited for individuals interested in gaining research experience prior to graduate school or medical school, as there will be opportunities to contribute to conference abstracts and manuscripts.
The candidate will primarily work on studies related to menopause and women’s brain health.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Developing and managing databases in REDCap (e.g., building surveys, data entry forms, and ensuring data quality)
- Assisting with participant screening and eligibility assessments
- Scheduling and coordinating study visits
- Supporting Research Ethics Board applications and related administrative tasks
- Assisting with neuropsychological test administration and scoring
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- B.Sc. in Neuroscience, Psychology or related discipline combined with at least one year of relevant research experience. M.Sc. an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with REDCap
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
