Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the OR Manager, the successful applicant will be required to perform the following functions:
Key responsibilities:
Software Development/ System Architecture
- Create, maintain and support tools and applications accessible through the intranet and internet on all
- mobile and desktop devices
- Create and maintain system datasets
- Maintains database performance and security of all OR applications
- Maintains application performance and security of all OR applications
- Development and execution of complex SQL scripts to support interoperability in data transaction to
- other hospital information systems
- Perform testing in conjunction with the IT Database Administrator, Interface Specialist, Patient Care
- System Manager and project leads within the IT department and other areas
- Development and maintenance of automated custom reports
- Process improvement through custom self-developed software to perform daily tasks
- Run diagnostic tests and perform debugging procedures
- Perform application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration
- Develop and implement application solutions to projects based on business requirements and
- Specifications
System Support
- Provide production application support all systems developed by the department
- Work closely with end users to resolve issues
- Provide post-implementation enhancements or resolutions
- Provide on-call support to troubleshoot and resolve urgent high priority issues
- Maintenance of virtual machines in accordance with security policies
- Provide 24/7 on call support
Qualifications/Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science or Health Informatics, or a combination of education an
- experience will be considered
- Demonstrable 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a health care setting
- Experience writing SQL for MS SQL and MS Access
- Experience creating reports for SQL Server Reporting Services
- Experience with JavaScript, Typescript, Java, C#
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS products
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks projects with tight timeframes,
- Superior problem identification, analysis and resolution skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills
