We currently have a Regular Full-time opportunity for a Project Leader 2- Integration Specialist in the Information Services department at our Bayview campus.
Summary of Duties
- Accountable and responsible for defining and achieving project mandates, objectives and deliverables through management of integration projects at Sunnybrook
- Act as an integration resource to ancillary systems and departments throughout Sunnybrook
- Establish standards for documentation across all applications and their interfaces and integrations
- Establish policies and processes for new and existing integrations – both through the corporate interface engine; at the ancillary level and external
- Establish and chair engagement of application stakeholders to maintain consistency and currency of integration methodologies, documentation, and architecture
- Establish project governance and provide guidance within established channels for change and new implementations (CAB, ASRB)
- Provide support and/or guidance for organization integrations with external organizations
- Establish a central repository of knowledge of organization integrations, methodologies, and architecture
- Ensure commitment of resources and other project requirements are met
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project budget estimates, resource plans, terms of reference, charter and role/task definitions and status reports
- Leads project team, which may consist of vendor, client and internal resources, to achieve project deliverables, monitor progress and challenges of projects
- Adhere to project and change control procedures to manage project scope and PM/SDLC requirements for documentation, delivery, review and approvals
- Identify and define system inter-dependencies and workflow (i.e. interfaces)
- Work with teams to map specifications and assist with prototype designs
- Define software functional and design requirements for the users and development team based on HL7 rules, analysis and system and database design
- Coordinate and track the efforts of working groups, committees, development team and vendors. Work to keep projects on track so that they are completed within the agreed time parameters
- Identify, resolve or escalate issues as raised with team members, users, and vendors
- Ad hoc analysis, design, development, QA, implementation and support as required
Qualifications/Skills
- University degree required in Health Sciences (Informatics preferred), Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, and/or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or progression towards their PMP is an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Project Manager and/or Senior Business Analyst role, with a minimum 2 years of experience leading projects with increasing complexity and scope is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent and self-directed in work style
- Good knowledge of integration technologies and standards
- Good knowledge of project management and applicable healthcare industry experience
- Experience with information systems architectures in a health care setting is an asset
- Experience with vendor and team relations with excellent presentation, communication, change management and technical writing skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively
- Analytical abilities and ability to work effectively with technical & business users
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them to functional specifications and create technical and functional documentation
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
- Experience with MS Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
- Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts
- Good understand database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance
