Summary of Duties:

 

Compliance Support for Pre-Clinical Research department

  • Animal Care Committee coordinator, mixed use oversight coordination support including but not limited to database support, biosafety compliance and animal ordering
  • GLP support for study coordination
  • Departmental support for SOP development, training and review.

 

Operations

  • Departmental laboratory support for new project setup service contact via email and phone
  • Super-user, project manager of facility database and scientist AUP database responsible for workflow integration and upgrades to environment.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Education preference is 3 years community college within life sciences, animal veterinary program and with RLAT, RMLAT certification or equivalent
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in an animal research facility as core or laboratory staff
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Research ethical frameworks for animal use
  • Must be proficient in databases, MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook
  • Must be organized in approaching work tasks and able to prioritize effectively to deal with competing demands
  • Must exercise tact and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential issues
  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility as well as a comfort level with taking initiative
  • Good problem-solving skills and an ability to work as a team member on projects
