Summary of Duties:

  • Evaluates, develops, implements and re-evaluates treatment programs for clients with musculoskeletal and related disorders in the hospital programs

  • Assesses, plans, implements, monitors and evaluates interventions for transitional care clients (i.e. ALC population)

  • Collaborates with the treatment team toward discharge planning

  • Educates clients and their families, hospital staff and the community regarding musculoskeletal disorders and preventative healthcare

  • Directs the daily activities of Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistants, students/interns in the department, as required

Qualifications/Skills:

  • MScPT, BScPT or Alliance - approved equivalency required

  • Must be Registered with Ontario College of Physiotherapists

  • Membership with Canadian Physiotherapy Association is desirable

  • Previous experience in the areas of musculoskeletal and geriatric rehabilitation
