Summary of Duties

  • Reports to Director, Scheduling & Workforce Optimization
  • Develop and manage complex project plans (defining plans with clear objectives and timelines)
  • Lead multiple work streams across clinical programs (including content development to ensure sustained momentum) with support from Director
  • Define process maps / flows for new work activities and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Identify, mitigate, and appropriately escalate project risks to ensure project success to Directors
  • Support all areas of workforce optimization, including and limited to scheduling transformation, scheduling and recruitment
  • Lead scheduling transformation initiatives: Plan and manage scheduling transformation project goals, project schedules, activities and information
  • Leading and supporting in Scheduling Council and associated stakeholder meetings. Including agendas, meeting notes, and follow up on action items.  Acts upon requests to change business processes, system configuration, etc. by investigating the stakeholder impacts, completing the change request impact documentation, and leads activity to implement approved changes to processes and systems.
  • Partners with other corporate support areas such as HR Services, IT, and Finance to ensure success on joint deliverables. Involved with Labour Relations related to collective agreements and scheduling.
  • Leverage innovative technologies and business practices for staff scheduling and rotation management to ensure that workforce sustainability is supported across organization

 

Qualifications/Skills

 

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field of study.
  • Project Manager Professional Designation preferred.
  • Three years’ experience in healthcare is preferable.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in highly demanding environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are required for the successful management of this function.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and organize work and consistently demonstrate initiative to improve processes.
  • Flexible thinker, with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
