Summary of Duties:

  • Responsible for assisting with garden related tasks during the spring, summer and fall seasons as required.
  • Maintaining the gardens on a daily basis which includes watering, weeding, pruning, moving of soil, cleaning of pathways, etc. Some lifting and digging required.
  • Assisting with garden events hosted by Recreation as required.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

 

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education
  • Secondary school graduate
  • Gardening experience required
  • Experience with geriatric population preferred
  • Experience with palliative care patients in an asset
  • Ability to work independently essential
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members essential
