Salary Range: $45.910-$58.914/hr

Summary of Duties

The Physiotherapist is responsible for:

  • Patient Assessment and intervention, including recommendations for follow-up as required [i.e. Home Care Program, community or rehabilitation resources]

  • Expert Physiotherapy resource for staff, students and other health care providers

  • Contributor/active member of the multi-professional health care team in Oncology

  • Participation in appropriate committees pertaining to the operation of the Oncology Unit

  • Active participation in discipline-specific activities of Physiotherapy, including the provision of clinical and educational in-services within Physiotherapy Services

  • Supervision of Physiotherapy students on a regular basis

  • Ongoing involvement in research activities, and use of outcome measures related to the Patient Services Unit and the client population served

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Must possess MSc[PT] or equivalent with Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in good standing

  • Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario

  • One to two years of general acute care physiotherapy experience required; oncology preferred

  • Demonstrated well-developed communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Established well-developed time management, prioritization and organizational skills

  • Member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association preferred
