Summary of Duties

The RPN is responsible for a broad range of skills and knowledge to practice in a number of specialities. It is ideal opportunity for nurses, from the novice looking to start off their career to the experts seeking to explore other career paths. This will be an exciting and dynamic environment for nursing staff. S/he will be a champion in promoting excellent patient care while also demonstrating exceptional leadership, communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills. The RPN will provide compassionate care that supports the principles of Person-Centred Care and the vision, mission and values of SHSC.

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Current Ontario College of Nurses Registration

  • Diploma RPN

  • Current B.C.L.S.

  • Person-Centred Care philosophy required

  • Ability to function in an interprofessional team

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent assessment skills

  • Team-player

  • Computer skills required
