Registered Nurse - Cystoscopy Suite

Summary of Duties:
RNs in the Clinic work in an environment that fosters ongoing learning for staff and students and patients. The RN is responsible for preparing patients for Cystoscopic and Urodynamic procedures, assisting with Bladder Instillations and performing catheterizations during the procedures
 
Qualifications/Skills:
o    Current Ontario Registration
o    Current BCLS certificate
o    B.Sc.N. preferred
o    Completion of post-graduate O.R. certificate and current or recent, related O.R. experience required
o    Expertise in the performance of urological operative techniques required
o    Expertise in Urology and cystoscopy procedures required
o    Experience in Urodynamics preferred
o    Nursing Oncology certification preferred
o    Recent Surgical Oncology nursing experience an asset
o    Excellent communication, organizational and teaching skills
o    Ability to work effectively in a Patient-Focused Care environment within a multidisciplinary team, including students
o    Demonstrated interest in personal professional development
o    Demonstrated commitment to Person-Centred Care approach and principles
