Position Overview

The Transformational Giving Coordinator will be an integral part of the Transformational Giving (TG) Team by providing the highest level of Campaign support through administrative responsibilities. The team is looking for a motivated and proactive person who will contribute to the Transformational Giving team. They will assist the team with preparing for and scheduling campaign and donor meetings, writing assignments such as briefing notes, and presentations. With exceptional client service, the TG Coordinator, will build and nurture relationships with multiple internal stakeholders across the Foundation and Hospital.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Team Support

  • Assist Executive Director, Campaign & Transformational Giving and the Sr. Philanthropy Officer, with effective and operational day-to-day administration support, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, drafting and compiling, meeting and briefing materials, gift processing, donor pipeline management, data entry, and analytical reviewing of reports.
  • Support with development of departmental and organization-wide procedures related to transformational giving processes and strategies.
  • Coordinate and execute meeting logistics such as preparation of meeting notes and materials, booking meeting rooms, prepare catering, A/V support and coordination of briefing notes and follow-up action items
  • Assist with Transformational Giving portfolio events through the completion of project briefs, identification and development of invitation lists, drafting and creating action items for follow-up strategies, and assisting with overall event logistics
  • Represent Transformational Giving team and Foundation brand in a professional way, while assisting with Foundation projects and internal Foundation Committee initiatives as assigned

 

Data Management

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Foundation’s donor database in Raiser’s Edge and corporate intranet Digital Edge
  • Support best practice and ensure all data-entry, coding, uploading, filing and information management pertaining to the activities of the executive team is accurate.
  • Support the creation and ongoing development of engagement strategies and prospect pipelines, including tracking of prospects and gifts secured, and maintaining prospect and pipeline reports to support the Campaign & Transformational Giving Teams

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Post-secondary education, certificate and/or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience in a corporate environment, preferably in a non-profit
  • Major Gifts related experience is considered an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to act in a professional, poised and diplomatic way and in alignment with the Foundation’s values
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated effectiveness building, nurturing and leveraging strong relationships
  • Proven ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to adhere to the Foundation’s processes and team deadlines, with a high attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to work assignments and initiatives with the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • An analytical nature with a strong attention to detail, managing data inputs, reporting and trend forecasting
  • Works well within a fast-paced environment and under a collaborative team structure
  • Proven ability to plan and coordinate a full range of informal and formal, small and large meetings and events
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook or similar scheduling software
  • Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, PowerBI and In Design is an asset

 

Total Rewards Package

 

The hiring range for this position is $50,000-58,000. The salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s years of experience, qualifications and competencies that are relevant to this position.

 

In addition to salary, our competitive compensation package also includes, comprehensive health and dental benefits, HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan), hybrid work environment with a minimum of two (2) days in office, 2 float days each fiscal year and additional Sunny Days (long weekend closures in advance of summer long weekends and Christmas Eve).
