Sunnybrook Research Institute is the research enterprise of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, a teaching hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. Research spans three Toronto-based campuses, eight programs and three scientific platforms. Our main aims are to understand and prevent disease, and to develop treatments that enhance and extend life. Our vision is to invent the future of health care. Each year, we conduct about $100 million in research across 500,000 square feet, including in the world’s first Centre for Research in Image-Guided Therapeutics.
The OCC team supports clinical and research activities through administrative, organizational, and operational assistance. The Summer Student will work alongside researchers and staff to provide day-to-day support for research and office operations while gaining valuable experience in a healthcare research environment.
Summary of Duties:
- Successful completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous work experience is an asset but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR,) are considered an asset.
- Ability to perform assigned job duties.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications Microsoft Office, email.
- Demonstrated ability to follow workplace policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism where required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in healthcare, research, or science is considered an asset.
