Summary of Duties

  • Setting up and testing the Portacount machine each morning
  • Assist staff to complete health questionnaire / related paperwork as required
  • Perform Fit Testing on all staff that require this procedure
  • Educate staff on the process
  • Booking appointments for staff to have their Fit Testing completed
  • Send out notices to all staff re. requirement of Fit Testing
  • Updating Managers on masks required for their units and the staff that are overdue to be fit tested
  • Data entry completion after tests performed and maintenance of the database
  • Order and maintain supplies as required
  • Educate all required staff to don and doff correctly
  • Emailing managers and staff as required
  • Monitoring compliance and booking Department rounds as required
  • Walking to various units throughout site pushing a cart to perform fit tests at the unit
  • May be required fit test at the Holland Centre, Reactivation Care Centre and St. John’s Rehab sites.

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma related to administration/secretarial abilities required
  • Certification in Fit Testing an asset (successful completion of this certification is a requirement of the position)
  • Significant and recent administrative assistant experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Computer literate (MS Excel, Word and Parklane)
  • Demonstrate proficiency with data entry
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and effective interpersonal skills required
  • Superior time management, organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail required
